The detail on this monster is awesome. I didn't think that anything could be more awesome than Herc, but this thing is incredible. The bot modes are spot-on. I think I even see a smirk on Swindle's face. And it's bigger than Herc and Uranos. It's probably up there with the 3P Predakings (which I ultimately skipped BTW). I will not skip this.

Wow... Just, wow...
How much do combiners like this usually run?
I'll bet that they're $100-$125 per small bot, probably $150 for Onslaught. Easily $500+ for the set. I'm still in.
That is pretty impressive. I doubt I'll be able to afford it though. Even with the apparent imminent retail hiatus of Joe stuff, the MP line has me tapped.
Eddie, as for alt scale, too much would have to be changed from the original designs to make the alt modes in scale with one another. Do that and your target audience ceases to be interested. Most of the Scramble City combiners involve massive amounts of cheating. Motormaster and Groove immediately spring to mind. (Though admittedly I had to look up Groove's name. What really sprung to mind was "Fuckin Motormaster, and the motorcycle from the Protectobots, what's his name again?" :lol) Even the Constructicons' alt modes were out of scale with each other. Long Haul shouldn've been friggin enormous next to Bonecrusher, for example.
Shouldn't have, or should have? Long Haul's a mining truck, and they're usually pretty fucking huge. Some are, however, rather average when compared to other construction equipment.
This, for example: http://www.cat.com/cda/layout?m=420938&x=7
is tiny, compared to this: http://www.cat.com/cda/layout?m=413188&x=7
Then you got dozers like these: http://www.cat.com/cda/layout?m=632676&x=7
If you take that into account, a modern Devastator(aka Hercules) would have component bots/alt modes in a pretty close size to scale ratio to one another.
Wow, that Bruticus is simply amazing.
Hopefully this comes to fruition, as will hopefully someday be the case with the Stunticons.
DAMMIT!
MP Soundblaster. With Ratbat. Ugh.
And this will be the first original mold MP I skip, because as OCD as I am in completing my casseticons, my least-favorite one is not worth $180 to complete the set. Assholes, I didn't think they'd really do that. (Ok, I did, just was hoping against it.)
Hahaha. Apparently BBTS has heard a lot of "fuck that!" feedback, because they already lowered it. I just got a "price reduction" email.
It's gonna need to be more in the $100 range for me to even consider pissing away the money for yet another needless repaint just to get the tiny accessory bot.

Like a robot dinosaur next to a gigantic mini-recorder.
They're about the same height, I couldn't find a pic for comparison though, and I'm not at home to snap a quick one.
I tell myself I don't want one...but I don't know if I'd be able to skip it if I ran across him in stores...
