What's wierd is the females around me sell all the same as the men. When the 25th hit Ollies (discount store) around here, there were less Pilot Scarletts than the Cobra flints and Red faced Cobra troopers. At Target when ROC went clearence, there were equal amounts of each figure.

For sure, Pilot Scarlett sucked.. most of the RoC Baronesses were from the dreaded Wave 1/Wave 2, and Helix.. well most people just didn't like her apparently.

I think if they made a good female figure it'd sell as well as a male probably, maybe some % less.

The City Strike Scarlett was originally intended for the PoC line, but was scrapped. As yet there are no XXers in PoC.

I will say, I applaud them by holding stricter limits at SDCC this year. That's a vast improvement, and probably why more stuff was available afterwards. I honestly think that holding a few in reserve to sell online is nice for folks that can't go to SDCC.

And I'd even be okay with them charging $25-40 for the exclusive singles on HTS for non-attendees. In that instance, I'd rather Hasbro get the damned money for their product instead of jackasses who are scalping them.

I personally say, fuck the entitlement that a lot of jerkoffs feel they deserve for going to SDCC and getting the exclusive figures from the show to just flip. Go to the show to enjoy the show. When I eventually go, I sure as hell won't be stocking up stuff to sell on eBay the second I get home from the trip to help recoup costs and feel entitled for paying for my trip by hocking souvenirs. Buy what you collect and leave the others for the actual fans that are there.

I think it blows for the fans (whether they go to SDCC or stay home) to get stuck with fan-favorites being relegated to SDCC items. And while they're technically exclusives for SDCC, it doesn't hurt anyone really by holding a few back to sell afterwards. Yeah, it would suck if I went to SDCC and didn't get the Joe exclusive that year, but if I am at SDCC, I'll be more excited about being at the show than getting some $15 toy.

They should just produce more of hot items... all it does is mean more money for Hasbro, and unless there's some licensing issue like with Sarge, there's no reason they couldn't do a second run with a running change and without the SDCC clamshell to sell on HTS again.

If they could somehow manage a "Homefront Heroes" unattending package or whatever like the GIJCC does for JoeCon, minus a portion of the ticket costs and maybe minus the 'Con-exclusive stickers (that's what irks me about the GIJCC's price in the first place... it's not right to have to pay for a ticket to an event that you can't attend) then that'd be about the best solution in my mind.

Of course, that's my armchair general approach, so what do I know.

The Renegades Scarlett looks dumb to me, MB thinks its sweet.. but her arms look too skinny and just.. meh. I guess the body armor works for female customs though.

I like her too, cock-knocker.

I need to find another RoC Covergirl to slap Scarlett's legs on.

I think Renegades Scarlett is a great base for female figure. She is a hair tiny but has function. I'm a lazy customizer and she will be perfect for me.

They're definitely a step-back in the detail department.

Maybe it was just piss-poor paint? We won't be getting her this year anyhow.

So color me frustrated with the whole deal. I was on-line with the StyStriker and both versions of Z in my cart at 11:31, and could never get past the "Proceed to Checkout" phase for the two hours. I walked away with nothing.

While it's true that it would be a lot of money for HTS to invest in to the servers to handle the demand, it's also true that they are an on-line retailer, so they do have a responsibility to make sure they can handle the customers. It wasn't as though this is the first year this happened.

Staggering the sales might help a little, but honestly, probably not enough. SS went first, then (I think) CS Z and Z before the Indy set and the other Transformers. So I don't think that would have helped me.

Releasing a much-talked-about, highly-demanded figure like "classic deco" Zarana in limited quantities is a poor move by Hasbro, IMO. They could have made a mint by cranking out more of those babies and having them as an on-line exclusive. I fully understand saving the special repaints for SDCC Exclusives like the SS or CS Z, but I feel like Hasbro did a disservice to their fans, and themselves, with how they handled Pink.

To be clear, it's not that I'm saying I'm entitled to a toy that I'm frustrated. But it is the fact that I personally only view these as toys, and not as collectables to be sold on the secondary markets that I get frustrated.

$20 is about my upper limit on what I pay for a figure, so as much as I love Zarana and the 'Noks, she has just been priced out of my budget.

Meh, I figured I just saved myself 50 bucks on something that will either be boxed up collecting dust…. or just collecting dust.

Amen.

That's my outlook lately. I have SO many toys in bins.. I need to start thinning it instead of adding to it.

Customs are another story, but there's got to be a limit on those two.

... but the SDCC Starscream box is really sexy.

Overall it was much better this year as I actually was able to get product unlike Slaughtergate.

It was still stressful and full of BS but oh well.

There's truth in that.

I'm very much an opener, which is why I wanted a cheap Zarana. And a cheap StarScream. Because they're fun. But if I had them in hand and knew how much a MOC/MIB was going for....as much as I know I would never resell them, I would have an extremely hard time opening those up...so yeah, boxed up collecting dust....

That's why I wish they sold these exclusives, etc, as loose figures in a bag. Easier and cheaper to collect and have fun.

I agree. I'm looking forward to buying her cuz she actually looks like a female and not an amazon

Most of the movie figures didn't sell very well at all. My WM does have maybe 20 blue Scarletts & Cover Girls still. That is more because the clearance price is still the regular price of $6.97.
Helix sold very well here. Probably the only movie figure that did!

What they should have done is deny the SDCC vendors the ability to buy multiples. Someone on Rebelscum explained that one "poster" vendor goes just to buy exclusives. He met the guy at a FedEx store. They came in with tons of exclusives to ship back. BBTS probably does that PLUS gets onto HTS with the rest of us.

Hopefully this isn't the last time we see Zarana. They did or will reissue last year's SDCC MU Thor. They did reissue the WW2 Ultimate Cap.

I agree as well. Renegades Scarlett's one of the best looking female figures, besides Helix.

When is she being released?

Bingo!

RoC was over produced and under performed.

Side note, GB, I really need a Blue Scarlett to fix up my Joe Con Sparta. Will u pick one up for me? You can ship it loose to cut back on cost. All the RoC is finally gone in my area.

So I was randomly reading what some people wrote on other sites . I got to say, Some of the comments are quite funny.

One guy stated. I am so f'in done with Hasbro. I am done collecting, I will never buy anything from hasbro again, they better not do this to me next year.

lol, I thought that was funny as hell with his turn around in the last statement. it's now time for a rare stop for me to HT to see the madness that is probably written over there.

You know, she looks better in the JoeCon pics.. maybe because shes not so stretched out.. hmm.

But yeah, rumor is the wave got pushed back..

Her face is mildly androgynous, but yeah, it's a great looking figure. Of all the Renegades, that's the one I am most looking forward.

I guess that it's not much of a rumor now with the two dates changing...I can be patient, but I don't have the highest confidence we'll see her release.

Oh, and NSA and Major Bludd, in all seriousness, great job in the SDCC coverage. Beautiful and informative pictures and great info. HissTank and General Joes were both referencing you.
