So it's a box within a box? Those memberships are going into some amazing tech! Now you can probably expect a $25 tag/ figure. Sad too since that would be more than a MOTU, wouldn't it?

not only does that box not protect the figure any better, they will now jack up the shipping price to a even more ridiculous price. good job.

Sad thing is that it would probably be less to collect MOTU. Twice the figure, less of a price. If the club figures are more than $15 it's really a sham. At that point I will be convinced GI Joe is on it's last leg and they are milking people for what they can.

you have been saying that Joe is on it's last leg for 2 years now lol.

In 2043 when Joe isn't around anymore, I'm gonna get a IM from you saying you told me so

And each year there is less and less. The only reason they are even sticking around is because of adults that they won't admit are carrying the line. If they start pushing the ARAH looking figures to the club, retail will be minimal at best. I imagine there will be lots of movie figures but if the movie is a flop then it's pretty much worst case scenario.

I guess I could say they will be DTC only. It won't completely die but we won't be reporting finds in stores.

yea we'll see. arah isn't being used by the Club sub very well. Of the first 6, only 2 1/2 figures are arah figs.

Maybe Joe2 won't suck and the toys will fly off the shelves...

I'm expecting another full reboot Feb 2013.

I feel like it's as good as a fucking request for the shit to get damaged.

Yeah, that's what I meant. A challenge to just fuck it up more.

Nah, August 2013 at the earliest. They'll have all that movie stuff to get rid of, and then we'll have months with no product again. :)

Sadly, probably right. Also, they don't want to confuse the kids with their 8th reboot in 5 years.

If they put "Fragile" on the outside, they may have a slightly better chance, but that shit needs to have padding between the two layers of boxes. Sometimes I feel like "Fragile" is a challenge to the guys at the Postal Service.

I know some won't believe me but I worked for Uncle Sam at the USPS in the 90s. You are pretty much correct.

i believe it...i used to buy at least one or two of all the figs in the 25th days when it was all ARAH inspired...

now, i'm VERY selective and only get one of each since there is no reason to keep them MOC

DTC and Joe doesn't really work, as we've seen. :/

Well what will? They had a good thing with POC and canned it. They are bringing some decent figures in with the 30th and it will be toast. They offer multi packs that are a kick in the teeth to those that did not get the last two years' exclusives. If the movie figures suck then options will be limited because you can only beat the retail dog so many times before it runs away.

You would probably have to drive to Napa. I'm trying to get my homie to drive down again on the company dime. Either way, I'd split for the drive down. You drive through LA.

Have you mentioned this before? This sounds familiar...

Its possible, but I don't recall it. Most folks balk and say BS. I didn't get in as a career employee. They hire (well used to) regular folks to get them through the busiest times. They work you too, 6 or 7 days a week and the money is pretty good.

i've been there (unfortunately) a couple times...it's a hole...aside from the tourist-y strip, it's downright scarey

I don't know...I've been there a couple times too (before the hurricane, granted), and I like it. Drinking on Bourbon St. loses its appeal after a while, but there's some great (quieter and cheaper) bars just a few blocks off the beaten paths that are worth while. Great food and phenomenal music. It's a great city to meet up with your friends and let loose.

Unless the Sub price is much cheaper than I am anticipating (very unlikely), I am officially "not interested" in the subscription figures anymore.

I hear the blindfold is removable (I figured this much), and so is the sword sheath. Regardless, I could care less for it.

I hate to admit it, but that's actually fairly close to a custom idea I had for her (back when we were still getting City Strike Scarlett), minus the bright colors and blindfold.

I noticed you didn't say, "...and minus the sheath on her thigh.".

Well, no, I was going to use that too. I didn't realize how big it was from the photos I'd seen.

Guess I fooled myself with perspective.

That's going straight to the Eddie Thread, I know it is. *sigh*

count me in for that ^ too...Jinx was the one i (and likely MANY others) was most looking forward to...and they very much dropped the ball and many subcribers...

i was always skeptical though that they would be able to do ARAH Jinx right since they have NOTHING in Hasbros parts library that would work for her...

I didn't realize that this was pretty much a straight repaint of the City Strike Scarlett (other than the head-sculpt). Heck, I've never seen her before. So, I didn't even realize that Resolute Scarlett was a repaint of the City Strike Scarlett.

I knew an ARAH accurate Jinx was wishful thinking. I'll have to make one at some point.

well that's another huge let down!!!!!!!! so im def out now i will see if some one can hook me up with dice or get him on the 2nd market. this is how i fig she would look as how the club has been going so far. its a real shame too as the club could have had a home run going on here if hasbro wont make these. but they fell short agin.

So, apparently there is speculation that Hasbro has plans on making an ARAH accurate (or close to it anyway) version of Jinx in the upcoming movie line, since Jinx is in the movie. The reasoning for this is b/c some believe the club would have tried to do a more ARAH accurate version of Jinx if Hasbro didn't already have some kind of plan for her.

It would be nice if this is true, but I'm not holding my breath.

Ehh, I like the ARAH look (I have two of that damn figure, and one of my most vivid memories was trying to trade a kid for her in the '90s), but I just don't think it's gonna work in the post PoC Era.

Hopefully the costume designer is doing a "high speed, low drag" look for her involving terrain-appropriate camouflage, but I don't think they should slap a figure of the red pajamas in the Retaliation line just because.

ok if this was true they wouldn't of done a jinx at all. as this line is of figs hasbro wont make.though now i do hope to god this is true and we get a v1 looking jinx from hasbro in the movie line. i wont hold my breath either as with hasbro u never know.

if done right they can make a V1 of her easily look at the 30th line ie stalker sci fi & lifeline they are true to the v1 looks but are well updated so thay can do it.
