Why do they have to have such shitty toys for, what appears to be, a good movie!

Is this bizarro world?? Argh.

My only hope is that it's successful, and they get back the budget to do real figures for GIJOE3.

yea, first movie was complete dogshit with decent toys, looking like the 2nd movie will be decent with shitty toys, The 3rd movie might cuz a rapture

I'm still stoked about the film. But the toys are starting to look a lot like garbage, comparatively. Sad thing is, the second film's going to probably be much better (I'm already more excited for it than I was with ROC, anyways) but the toy line suffers because the first was overproduced, and the toys themselves were decent representations of the on-screen counterparts.

Great sculpting and articulation in ROC bridged the advances from 25th to POC and 30th, and now we're back to before the 25th, for some figures. (Pre-1982 for the damned drivers. Ugh.) It's a shame, but do like I do: blame ROC and a little bit of over-zealous "price adjusters" at Hasbro.

Jason Chu is like a lot of Joe fans and has a hard-on for ninjas.

Thus we get Ninja Force: The Movie.

I don't mind a few ninjas, but I'm beginning to think this movie is going to be stupid. Roadblock trains w/the Arishakage? Well that explains the Arishakage tattoo we've seen on his figures and whatnot.

I like my ninja corps small, elite and segregated (and no, not the racial kind).

I don't want heavy machine gunners cross-training in Arashikage Ryu or whatever ninja style they're using.

SO, Storm Shadow, Slice (maybe Dice) and a handful of Red Ninjas versus Snake Eyes, Jinx and pick someone else from Ninja Force duking it out, with an occasional appearence by those meddeling Night Creepers.

No Ninja Apprentice Duke, Roadblock or Scarlett buffoonery.

Did you see the first movie?
You know, I didn't see the first movie, either. I refused to see it.

that ^ was my fave part from that interview :D

I actually thought that was pretty odd. Who signs up to do a movie sequel without seeing the first one? Even if (or especially if) the first one stunk, wouldn't you want to watch it to know what to avoid doing for the sequel?

Dude, they just care about the cash and have big enough egos to where they feel they can do anything anyways.

anything is better then ROC but this has hope as someof the interviews i have saw the head guy wants it to be as real as it can be and he wishes he could of just rebooted it. but he had to keep some of the roc shit in it. i do have hope this will be a kick ass movie though.

Doesn't look bad, really. Shame that the toys couldn't have been on par.

I really hope the toys get tweaked a little bit before they come out....I really would like a few of the HISS and Sting Raider/Water Mocc/or whatever it is they are calling it now!

Yeah, unlikely, but maybe a S02 version or something will be better. I can't imagine initial sales #'s would be early enough for them to tweak much on the later waves due to production timelines etc.

I just wish they'd have the time and effort into the figure design, such a step back, and makes it all the worse that the movie seems to be a lot closer to the GIJOE we know.

Hey, I'm one of them, to an extent, and that would be an acceptable trade off...

ORRRR, how bout they make him a respectable military man and not talk like he's about to go pop a cap in the rival gang leader.

especially after the whole article about how the Hashbrown reps and designers went to the set and they talked about the toys and getting everything right...

so sad :(

he cant help it, thats how he talks when he gets giddy. He is giddy cuz he cant believe that people are still paying him to "act"

So Aerosmith is doing a song for the movie.

Anyone else see the irony that a band that hasn't been relevant since the early '90s is doing a song for a movie about a toy line that also hasn't been relevant since the early '90s?

I used to be big into the Aerosmith, but this just seems so......
