Hola mi amigos! I am here. Just been laying low. Started a new awesome job and me and the wife are in the process of adoption. Basically, Hasbro killed SW collecting for me. What is the fun of buying everything online. I haven't seen new crap in months. That is what used to be fun about it was the hunt. I do still have an awesome Boba Fett that K-tig sent me a few years back. Hasbro sucks total sack and now I am just collecting 1/6 Sideshow Bounty Hunters.

Holy shit! It's garrison! Glad to hear that life is treating you well.

SW collecting has always been a chore. My hatred of t-crotches has me only collecting Ep IV -VI stuff from the vintage collection, i.e. stuff that will display nicely. They can keep the rest.

That's cool about the adoption. How close are you? (I hear that those can take a really long time...)

Don't be a stranger!

We just did our home study yesterday so once that is done we are "active" within 2-3 weeks. We are going the legal risk route through the state so we will see what happens. I still lurk on here from time to time, but it isn't the same as the glory days!!!

I have no idea what that means. Is that a good thing? Or does that just mean you're not getting a bootleg kid from indonesia?

Will this be your first child? I think adopting a kid is an awesome thing. I'll be thinking happy thoughts for you guys. Hopefully you'll get a kid that doesn't have t-crotch! ;)

Sideshow's edition of IG-88 is amazing!

Glad to see you are doing well!

Still holding out for a new 1:18 scale sculpt of the Emperor, Lobot, Death Star Gunner, and many others from the Old School. Glad to see the new arrival of the Yavin pilots at TRU, though!

New School Star Wars crap is everywhere I look, and in many cases, it's been there for several months (and in some cases, a year or so).

Bravestarr. I have to ask: why "pre-quel" instead of prequel?

Andrew Jackson was a genocidal asshole and a fiend. Henry Clay should have been on the twenty.

On a thread related subject, I got an AT-ST from K-Mart and I'm still deliberating on opening that bitch up. Also, I saw a B-Wing for $16 in a Marshalls last month, so be on the look out for those if your wanting more space ships and stuff.

Lancelot, I hear you on the Trail of Tears.

However, if his Troops (Regulars, Cajuns, Creoles, Militia, Freed Slaves and French Pirates) had failed to defeat the British at New Orleans, I refuse to believe that they would have ever given it back to American control at the end of the War of 1812.

PS, Jackson hated the federal banking system, so his head on US currency is pretty ironic.

I wish they'd hurry up and make that Slave-I in ESB deco, preferably in vintage-style packaging. Away with prequels (and pre-quels)!

Yep! Hahahaha!

true dat, but it burns me up that he is on the twenty and Alexander Hamilton, who was all for the national bank, is stuck on the lowly ten. Then again maybe the lower the amount of currency the more prestiegous because Washington is one the one and Lincoln is on the fiver.

What is the availability of the mandalorian assault transport? I like how that thing can apparently hold six figures. Does it have enough leg room for gi joes?

I opened up and assembled the Kmart exclusive AT-ST and I have a couple things to say about it.

One, It has nice accommodations for action figures, particularly figures that can sit with their legs parallel to each other rather than at an acute angle (other wise they won't be able to sit in it).

Second, it can not stand up worth a damn! Holy shit I can't believe Hasbro has fucked up so bad! It can barely stand without any figures in it, but with or without figures the weak joints ensure that the legs will inevitably collapse on themselves and the scout walker will face plant, comically dumping any figures out as it hits the surface. This problem seems especially true for the walkers left leg for whatever reason.

I use to be a little miffed about the AT-AP having such stiff legs with limited articulation, but now I see there was a very good reason for that.

Does anybody have any advice on how to remedy this problem? Or am I going to have to find an old AT-ST from the old 1990's POTF series and somehow switch out the turrets?

Did you get a bad one?
I still haven't opened my Walmart one yet. I need that 2 AT-ST driver set.

I don't know if its typical of all walkers or if mine is just shitty. It was the only one in the store. I finally got it to stand for longer than two minutes, but doing so was quite the challenge. You can't fiddle with it ones it is in place much, or else it will collapse in on itself.

By the way I saw a bunch of them at my K-Mart over the weekend as well as some stupid Ewoks. The ones I got had some rather loose legs, and the holsters that they're pictured with on the front of the box don't actutally come with the figures, it's different web gear. Lame decisions by Hasbro, as usual.

Also, when is that new wave of Star Wars Vintage collection figures with the Old Republic Trooper suppose to hit shelves? Let me guess, it's a lost wave at the end of the year.

Some of the online only thing isnt so bad I guess. At least this way we don't have to hunt for them, but I'm not paying twenty bucks for a republic trooper. In fact alot of those figures look way over priced. I guess I could settle for Tarkin and maybe one other figure. Don't all the Ayla figures have derpy eyes? or is that just me? It looks like these figures get free shipping once you order more than $25, which is like what, only 2 figures?

Ouch, Trooper was $12.99 when Goldbug first posted it.

I guess Amazon ran out. Now it is 3rd party...

I knew this was going to happen once it became "online only".

I have no idea how they even make anything on this

These molds are far superior and well worth $16 a piece. Ball-jointed scouts mount the bike well and double-jointed necks allow them to look where they are going.

I looked at them in the store, and it bugged me that they were extremely brown. Older models are more tan/grey. The mud-brown color was a big disappointment.

But, 50% off is a tempting deal anyway. Is the mold the same as the previous release?

Mold on the bike is all new as far as I know. It is much slimmer with new handles, footpegs and rear flaps. The "hood" even opens to reveal the engine. Clear stands and detachable front landing gear is a very nice touch. Even the tripod cannon is a nice treat.
