Of course they do it now. I waited and waited for them to KO him, and finally told my gf to get me Soundblaster for my bday. That's a decent price too. At least I got a free black Soundwave for my desk at work!
I'll wait for the free shipping ebay offer. But I'm excite it happened so quickly!
Actually there have been $20 + free ship KO ratbats on ebay for a while. I ordered one last week, and I was pretty late to the party.
So I ordered the official MP Wheeljack. I suppose I could have waited for the KO, but I want to have a couple official MPs in my collection.
My bad. I was 'tarded and didn't read carefully.
I have the official MP WJ in my PoL, as well as some MP-scaled 3P items on preorder. However, I cancelled my preorder for Ultra Magnus, and I sold my MP-02, MP Rodimus, and MP igear Coneheads. I came to the conclusion that while very awesome, MP's just take up too much room and money. And as such, I'm limiting myself to characters from the first season of the cartoon, basically '84 characters plus Shockwave and Skyfire (because I really wanted to keep Quakewave & Kronos).
I may or may not keep Herc and Uranos to go with my MPs, but the cost and space was just weighing on me. I've sold more toys in the last two months than the rest of my life combined. I was just getting overwhelmed and needed to simplify a bit.
I still have MP-01, but he isn't displayed with my MP collection but rather hangs out at my desk next to my computer monitor. I still contend he's the best toy ever made, especially with the igear anime head.
But I have MP-10 with my MP collection. I sold all my original seekers (and TC was still sealed and brought a mint) b/c the improved Hasbro and Igear original three are simply superior. Rodimus had no place to be and was still sealed too. Season 1 characters, that's it for me. I sold a near-complete set of CHUG figures too, all still MIB. My house has looked like a UPS loading dock for two months. It was a good time to not be an "opener", as sealed TFs sell really well.

Even open boxed MP's bring a 100% profit minimum and TF buyers do not flinch at sticker shock. Night and day from Hisstank collectors.
The only two pics I was able to snap before the wife chastised me for "having too much to do to be playing with toys."

I've taken to calling him 88 or Eighty-Eight. I also liked Outabot. Obviously a play on Autobot and Outatime, but what I like most is that "Auto" and "Outa" share the same letters AND sound similar.

:lmao:It's amusingly big, and the proportions are kinda silly on the Z platform, but I think the end result will be okay in spite of it. Wish there was either a smaller model or a larger scaled Z.

I had considered all those names (except for Timestream). All the BTTF references really. I made an effort to avoid names from part II and III due to the model I used. So while names like Mr. Fusion or Eastwood were on the list, they didn't make it too far.
Ya know, since the GL is so huge, the 1:32nd model might just be perfect. But if it's diecast, ugh, good luck with that.
If I was as big a fan of those vehicles as I am of BTTF and DoH, maybe. And I'd definitely consider the A-Team van if I knew of a good cheap base figure. I sure as heck am not gonna using the $$$ Igear vans.

Actually, I looked, and it's a plastic slot car (1/32 Scalextric). It also has GL rims too, so that makes it even easier. The size is almost perfect.

Ah. It's not the GL, just a 69...I'd be able to recreate the pushbar no problem, but the waterslide decals would be another story. Aside from the decal issue though, that'll most certainly make for a better Charger body.
EDIT: just searched it and an actual GL deco exists of that slot car!

Yep, it's a UK or Europe only release, never put out domestically, so it's mucho dollars. I'd have a hard time paying that kind of jack for something I was planning to cut up into little pieces.
The water slides aren't that big of a deal. You can scan the ones from the Ertl GL kit, scale them down a tad, and then print them on waterslide paper in a laser printer. That's my plan anyway.
The other option is to use a different base figure, something a bit larger. I've been planning this build for a few years, long before MP Datsuns were ever even close to a reality. I was going to use a KO oversized classics datsun with a 1/25 GL kit. The upscaled KO is cheap and larger than a current MP car. Build quality might be questionable, but it's an option.
