Question. Can someone explain the FSS and how it works? I'm interested in quite a few of those.

I got the FSS 1.0.
You have to have a valid Club membership at the time of ordering.
You either pay all up front, or in 3 payments that are scattered as they're released, but you have to enroll in advance... They're a built-on-preorder system. They're released roughly 2 per month, over a total of 6 months for each "phase" (i.e. the 1.0, 2.0. etc), so you get 12 figures total.
If you preorder up front, you get a 13th mystery figure, that is released on the 6th month's shipment, so you get 3 figures that last month.
BBTS also offers individuals (they buy a bunch of subscriptions and then resell them individually at higher prices), and the Club may, depending on extras made, sell extras in their store for members. So you don't technically have to get a set if you only want to cherry-pick, but you're not going to get the 13th figure unless you get the whole set, or pay out your ass on the secondary market.

With that said, the 13th figure is a real big selling point to me, so long as it's any good. Which is why I'm annoyed that FSS 2.0 is going to start and wrap up before the 13th figure from FSS 1.0 is revealed. The 13th figure for me, is the only reason to get a full set.
I got two FSS 1.0 subscriptions because I wanted a set to keep carded and a set to open, but I only really wanted about half to open. At some point I'll sell off the extras. The big gamble I made was on whether the 13th figure is worth the full set.
The downside to individually picking them up, is that to get 2 sets of the ones I want (one to keep carded, one to open), the inflated prices will likely average out to be double the price anyways. So if I want only half the set, I may as well get the whole sub, as it'll cost the same, and I at least get the extra figures, whether I want them or not. If the 13th figure is any good, then that slightly offsets it and makes the entire set worth getting.

Goddamn them. That Leatherneck and Gung-Ho are two I've been wanting for a long time. The original 25th ones suck, and each has had 3 tries! And that Destro! 3 of my top wants! Now gimme a new Roadblock!
yup. No reason for these not to be released other than Hasbro wants to string us along like the cock tease they are.
I'm thinking we'll see those at some point. Man, I hope so. Even that Resolute-ish Rock N Roll is awesome, but those other guys really need updates since their 25th ones were so damn bad.

I saw Bill Ratner and Mary McDonald Lewis walk by today. I was too busy posing for a picture with a person dressed up as a Snow Serpent to talk to them, but they looked busy anyway. There was a guy and his wife in the dealer room who were selling a ton of the old 21st century toy's action figures for only $5 each. I managed to finally get a crew for my Tiger I. They were a pretty cool couple. I got their business card and everything.

We haven't had a Destro since the Pursuit of Cobra (hopefully this one also comes with a case of money), Gung-Ho (geez that 25th Anniversary one... looking back), Leatherneck(who onlt ever got shitty figures) and that v2 Storm Shadow (my first Storm Shadow back in the day).
I'm also slightly glad about the release delay for the Ultimate wave, means I have more time to track down the earlier waves and assorted goodies, or crazily save money.

Hasbro just needs to get their shit together, make the concept vault happen. We've seen so much damn content from both Cons, it would fill a whole line.

The FSS 2 just isn't appealing to me at all. Too many repaint figures who don't deserve repaints. But then again, it's extremely rare for me to pay that much for a figure so it has to be great.
That Destro is awesome. Face is a tad angular, but it looks like a mask at least, and the original card art. Looks to be all-new sculpting for Destro. He's likely to see light of day.
Gung Ho and Leatherneck are so easy to do with very minimal tooling, that I hope to hell we see them as well.
What I'd love, is to simply see them in the rumored SDCC multi-pack (if I'm reading that hint right). A figure like Destro is a big draw, with all-new tooling, while Leatherneck and GH are made from pretty much existing parts, with new vests and head sculpts. Even though they're 90% existing figures, it doesn't look like it because the changes are made so well, they look all-new.
Could they do a pack like that Star Wars multi-pack from last year? Does GI Joe have that sort of draw? The Joe sets are always first to sell out, so I don't see why not.

I don't care what they say. We've been seeing that Kwinn figure for years. They'll still have that bitch in the glass case at Joecon '16, just stringing our asses along.

I also never cared for Cobra-La. I will get the set though & recreate the characters into a more realistic team. (My version is that the spores were hallucinogenic drugs, sort of like what DC's Scarecrow uses. No one was turned into a snake but thought he was one.)
I'd be interested in the Renegades truck.. assuming it was of a good size. I'd hate to see it the size of the Indiana Jones cargo truck or a HISS tank or something, that thing needs some heft.

The clubs "stuff" is 100% intentional...they place mutable subgroups and non subgroups together to garner the most subscriptions...they get guys who just want NF, or just OG, or ARAH or international, etc...I won't say how I feel about this d!ck move since there's always guys (even here) willing to defend that kind of a-holey "capitalism"...
The head is just the beginning of that sh!tty figure...even if IB came with that concept head, he still sucks Galactus' d!ck...
